read more »In handling materials, there is often a need to cover a chipboard or furniture panel with various decors or real wood veneer. Additionally, it’s common to increase the apparent thickness of the material by gluing the sheets or components together, a process known as laminating or doubling.
During decoration, the chosen decor is applied to the surface using heat, while in the veneering process, the veneer is formed. Here, the veneers are fitted together to create the final pattern, i.e., the complete veneer sheet. The finished veneer sheet is then applied to the surface using additional adhesion and heat, and surface irregularities are removed using a contact sander, resulting in a beautiful, natural veneered surface.
